"Life's problems wouldn't be called "hurdles" if there wasn't a way to get over them." -Anonymous
I like to do things by myself. I've always been fairly independent. And the relationship I've had with my mom usually results in us bickering like sisters after three days near one another. I had a fantastic seminar weekend 2 weeks ago that awoke things inside me. I've been inspired ever since and moving in new directions with LA Nidra. So, I was feeling some slight trepidation just over a week ago, as I knew that my mom was coming to visit for two weeks and I was afraid that my new found creativity would disappear in her presence. I knew that I had to keep moving forward even with her presence or I would feel really bad. I then had an idea! What if I could get her excited about my new ideas and have her help? So I thought about her strengths and realized that she could give me guidance on several things that I was looking to do but didn't have experience with. Do you know what this last week has been like with her?! Amazing! She's given me a much quicker route to take because she's taken it before. A whole new breakthrough with my mother because we've been working cooperatively with each other. It's been so much fun! Asking for help and letting myself receive it has made some of this growth process so much easier when I didn't have a clue where to start. Sometimes our hurdles are hard cause we just don't ask for help from the wise ones....
